Trainings and Workshops

CommuniCare

A 50-session, in-house program for development of soft skills and English public speaking skills is conducted at CCI. This program also focuses on building self-confidence and polishing presentation skills of employees. The implementation of this program has helped employees take benefit of the professional setting they are in, present themselves with poise, and enhance their English communication.

Emotional Intelligence Workshop

A two-day workshop on Emotional Intelligence (EI) was conducted by Cdr. Adil Raghina (Retd.), who is a certified trainer on Emotional Intelligence by the Forum for Emotional Intelligence Learning (FEIL). 32 CCIans took advantage of the training to better understand and enhance workplace environment. The training focused on various aspects such as decision making, conflict management, emotional intelligence, and team functioning. Topics such as emotionally-intelligent leadership, emphatic inquiry and trust, and managing anger and negative emotions were dealt with in detail by the trainer. In the end, participants also went through a self-assessment test to check their own current EI levels.

Project Management Professional Training

The objective of this training was to keep selected associates abreast of the latest happenings in the world of project management. Upon completion of the training, participants were able to apply the learned skills in their day-to-day activities, display superb project management skills, and appear for Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

Process Training

One of the goals of CCI is to improve various processes within the organization in order to achieve CMMI Maturity Level 3. This will help deliver quality projects on time within the approved budget and make the software development process more predictable. To pursue this goal, processes for CMMI Maturity Level 3 were first defined and then followed by a training program for Project Leads, Team Leads, and all team members of our company.

Salesforce Certification

The Salesforce Certification internal training not only enhanced incumbent skills but also opened doorways for new development projects involving Salesforce skills. Professional trainings of this sort help us maintain a technical edge and provide motivation to our staff. Employees also completed the Salesforce Certification after the training.

Scrum Agile Training

Training for the Scrum Agile software development framework was put into effect in an effort to lend knowledge of contemporary practices to our associates. It was piloted and is being implemented in a very large software project. Selected candidates have since gained experience and skill to stay up-to-date with the rapidly changing software process requirements of our clients.

Team building at Diveagar

In February 2013, CCIans enjoyed an expedition to a nearby picturesque spot, Diveagar, for a team building workshop with Augustus Mallier and Maranna Mallier as external trainers. Participants enjoyed various activities that helped engrave team spirit and bonding. Activities included games and tasks that taught associates how to better work together, communicate, and coordinate to overcome limitations. Associates also enhanced their skills in the areas of trust, collaboration and maintaining balance in a team. Being in the lovely beach town, associates also played rounds of Frisbee and a game of charades and enjoyed parasailing and bonfire.

UML-Design Pattern

This was an external training program conducted by Seed Infotech. The aim of this training program was to improve team members' skills in analyzing, designing, and developing applications by using the object-oriented programming approach. This, in turn, increased the scalability and reusability of applications.
